It's a Lonely World: An Indie Author's Journey
It's a Lonely World:
An Indie Author's Journey
(Writing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them)
Are you the new guy trying to learn this self-publishing gig? Have you tried to self-publish your book, and then wonder why it failed to gather sales and reviews? Maybe you have a book script, but you don’t know where to start. Do you feel like self-publishing will mark you as an amateur? You and thousands of other Indie-Authors are not alone
What is an Indie-Author? It is someone, a single individual, who chooses to publish their books without the help or interference of traditional publishing houses. The reasons are numerous for choosing such a path in life, but the core reason is freedom. It is also very hard to get attention from agents or publishing houses; therefore, self-publishing is the only way left to get your book published.
For decades, the stigma of the term "self-published" has meant bad book covers, bad interior formatting, and just a bad story in general. Back in the old days, there were no viable services accessible to the self-publishing author. You were lucky if you knew a guy, who knew another guy, who was an editor. This is no longer the case these days. There are thousands of editors, artists, and promoters out there, in the land of the internet, to help you.
With Amazon publishing thousands of titles per week, there is no reason why you, the Indie-Author, should fail in launching your book with - at the very least - moderate returns on your hard work.
In this volume, you will learn:
- Why you need an ISBN
- The purpose of a Library Control Number, and why you need one
- Copyright
- The Hero’s Journey, and the importance of structure
- A checklist for your book launch
- What editors look for in a story
- Plagiarism
- Why you need to read
Among these critical keys for the success of your book, you will find plenty of other information regarding my journey into the world of self-publishing. My mistakes are there for you to learn from.

The Love I Shared With The Mother Who Wasn't My Own
The Love I Shared With
The Mother Who Wasn't My Own:
A 2021 COVID-19 Pandemic Memoir
Experience a Healthy New Life of Acceptance!
As we go through life, we have so many experiences - positive and negative. But what do we do with them?
This book portrays my journey of losing a great mother figure, the pillar of my world, to the Covid- 19 Pandemic. We all have lost someone near and dear to us due to the Covid-19 Pandemic or know people who have. Collectively, as a whole, in most ways, the world is grieving.
It takes time to accept our loss. But it takes understanding and ardent desire to grasp the new instant reality, and make the progress we know we should make. This is what I hope to achieve in sharing my experiences of the tragic loss of The Mother Who Wasn't My Own due to the suddenness of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
It is my belief, that as you read this memoir, you will be able to guide yourself back to a healthy new life of acceptance. And, that you will be able to find all the tools you need in life to aspire ambitiously, achieve relentlessly, and progress continually.
Kamini Mason Bio
Most writers find a story they want to tell. But sometimes, the story finds you.
From her earliest days, Kamini Mason dreamed of being a writer, but a challenging childhood made that seem like a distant and unattainable vision. That all changed the day Kamini met someone who would forever transform her life and purpose; an incredible woman whose spirit needed to be shared with the world, and—as terrifying as Kamini found the idea—she knew she the time had come to find her voice and use it.
The Love I Shared with The Mother Who Wasn’t My Own is Kamini’s debut memoir, with her second book, World’s Orphan to be released in early 2022.
When Kamini isn’t spending time with her daughter or kickboxing, the Boston native is pursuing her writing goals and looking for opportunities to support her local community. A portion of the proceeds from her memoir go towards Family Aid Boston, a charity in Massachusetts. By sharing her stories of grace, courage, and resilience, Kamini hopes that others might find their voices too.

The Impact of Implants
Have you ever looked in front of a mirror and wished to change a couple of things about your body?
I always thought I knew everything about my breasts. I frequently examined mine in the bathroom mirror before a shower. I observed everything, from their shape to the blemishes I was born with, but especially their size.
There was always a lingering feeling in my head about how I would look with bigger breasts. When I was young, my idea of beauty was curvaceous. I pictured a beautiful woman with large, plump, shapely breasts, an hourglass figure, and a big round butt. I wanted to be her! However, once I hit puberty, my body let me down.
As a woman who decided to get implants, I wish to pass on what I've learned during my journey. Here's to all the girls who felt the same way I did before my surgery. Perhaps my book will also shed light on the meaning behind my decision to people who are unsure about breast augmentation surgery. The body of your dreams is within your reach!
